| 説明 | Carennac is a commune in the Lot department of Occitanie, in the historical Quercy region. It covers 19 km² and, as of 2022, counts just 426 inhabitants—known locally as Carennacois—giving it a tranquil density of 22/km². Perched on the left bank of the Dordogne River, Carennac sits at 110–340 m elevation where the fertile river valley meets the arid limestone “Causse” plateau. It’s about 20 km east of Souillac and a few kilometres from Martel, with panoramic riverside vistas and a waterside canal—the Hermitage—flowing below the village |
