| 説明 | Gero Onsen, Gifu, JapanGero Onsen is a town on the Hida River in the providence of Gifu. It has been known for over a thousand years as a healing hot spring location. In the 13th century the hot spring stopped flowing due to an earthquake. The villagers prayed to the Buddha in this temple and a white heron appeared and led them to the new source of the hot spring. This temple is highly revered by the local people. |
