| 説明 | Built in 1929, this Tudor Revival-style building was designed by Clarence Hatzfeld to serve as a fieldhouse (community recreation center) in Indian Boundary Park, established in 1922 to serve the growing West Ridge neighborhood. The building is clad in brick with limestone accents, a side-gable roof, swirled stucco cladding and half-timbering on the gable ends, metal-frame casement windows, a stone trim surround with a relief depicting an indigenous tribal chief above the front door, crenellated parapets, and a shed dormer. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, and was designated a Chicago Landmark in 2005. Today, the building houses the Indian Boundary Park Cultural Center. |
