| 説明 | Built between 1969 and 1977, this complex of Modern New Formalist buildings were designed by Terry Atkinson, Place and Place, Gordon M Luepke, Ivan A Sarkiss, and Finigal and Dombrowski to serve as the Pima County Governmental Center, Administrative Center, and Superior Courthouse. The three buildings consist of a seven-story western building, a twelve-story central building, and a nine-story eastern building, all of which are unified by a shared concrete-clad base plinth, similar exteriors, and concrete porticoes and covered walkways at the base with arched openings. The buildings are clad in concrete panels with arched window bays, wide overhanging simple cornices, and walkways connecting to the adjacent El Presidio Plaza and Tucson Convention Center Plaza. Today, the building remains home to many of the court functions and government offices for Pima County. |
