説明Built in 2000, this Contemporary building was designed by Richard Meier and Langdon Wilson Architecture to serve as a United States Courthouse, and was named for United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. The building is clad in glass and silver-colored panels with an irregular glass butterfly roof, metal shade canopies, metal columns crowned by networks of complex angled structural members that support the roof, a plaza at the exterior of the building, and a large underground parking garage. Today, the building houses various federal court functions, and is one of several federal buildings and United States Courthouses that can be found in Downtown Phoenix.
