| 説明 | ... I just had a magical experience. I went to check out what Gail Piland had been up to this past week and found her slightly modified photograph she referred to as Fence Friday. I smiled and acknowledged to myself my love for old wavy chain link fences, then I saw Toby and at the same time realized today is Friday. Gail had posted this photograph with any Friday in mind, not just today..... I have a chore to do each time one of my beloved dogs gets too ill to understand the pain and disability of life. We go to the vet who has been forewarned, usually he's better aware of their condition than I am and then I hold them in my arms and he does the injection. None of my dogs have ever felt a glimmer of pain; they just simply relax and seem to be asleep. Then I try to get to the car before I start crying. With Toby I didn't make it. He was the only one I couldn't hold, but I did lean way over and put my hand on his side while the act of mercy was taking place.... so as I looked at Toby way down the fenceline there, looking at me. I felt like I had experienced one of those little Dada miracles God is always sending to you for seemingly no reason at all and I could hear with my soul Toby saying, "I'm saving a place for you."... yep, Gail, you made my day, so I'm dedicating FENCE FRIDAY 021111 to you and Toby. I'll call this FIVE FOR FENCE FRIDAY. I'm still partial to the collage results. You pick you favorite. Actually I love every image that I can see Toby in. My gorgeous, beautiful one hundred and ten pound black Lab.... I'll see you one of these days, Toby and we'll get together with Tickle, Sammie, Spider and all the new friends you've made since you left.... this kind of memory and experience is not a mourning, but a celebration of a deep and abiding mutual love.... here's the link to Gail's original ...www.flickr.com/photos/gailp2rt/5333319963/ |
