説明 | Festuca idahoensis is one of the most abundant native cool season bunchgrasses in Vipond Park, Pioneer Mountains, Beaverhead County, Montana. This middle to late summer form of Festuca idahoensis (late July August) has open paniculate inflorescences. The paniculate arrangement of spikelets and lemmas awns straight and upwards of 5 mm long distinguish Festuca idahoensis from other somewhat similar native bunchgrasses that are common in Vipond Park (e.g., Koeleria macrantha, Poa fendleriana, Agropyron spicatum). |
