説明 | Erigeron ursinus in the open understory of Pinus albicaulis (whitebark pine), Vipond Park, Pioneer Mountains, Beaverhead County, Montana. Erigeron ursinus is a native fibrous rooted perennial forb, spreading to mat-forming via a branching caudex, and abundant in open montane understory up into the alpine on rocky slopes. Distinguishing traits include linear stem leaves, linear to oblanceolate entire basal leaves, minutely glandular and hairy involucral bracts, and purplish ray flowers with ligules about 1 cm long. |
