| 説明 | The Sycamore was the first all-Britishdesigned and built helicopter to receive itsCertificate of Airworthiness and to servewith the Royal Air Force.In 1953, the Company sent a numberof Sycamores to East Anglia and theNetherlands to assist in rescuing peopletrapped by major floods.The Sycamore shown here was builtaround 1957 and served the RAF 284 (laterrenumbered 103) Squadron from 1958. It wasused for air-sea rescue and general supportduties until 1966 when it became a trainingaircraft for the RAF's Central Flying School.It was retired later that same year.Aerospace Bristol |
