| 説明 | Built in 1930-1932, this Gothic Revival-style building was designed by Study, Farrar and Majors and Arthur Widmer to serve as the Firman Dislodge Hospital, funded by a donation by the estate of Firmin Vincent Desloge to Saint Louis University. The building is clad in buff brick with a limestone base, limestone trim, a two-story Chapel to the south of the main structure with gothic arched stained glass windows, a hipped roof, and an ornate spire, a steeply pitched hipped copper roofs, one-over-one winds, gothic arched bays, a one-and-two story podium at the east facade of the structure, which includes an entrance porch with gothic arched openings, a semi-circular front terrace, and a series of Modern and Postmodern additions to the west. The building served as the main hospital for Saint Louis University until a new facility was built immediately to the north in 2020, and today, it supplements the new hospital to the north with additional services and facilities. |
