| 説明 | Once my friend and host was done with all his selfies in Gulmarg, we finally headed to the small market behind the parking lot looking for a place to eat. We decided against going to any of the restaurants you see in the distance- almost all of them offer Punjabi cuisine, with one offering Delhi cuisine. A restaurant called Alpine seemed to specialize in Chinese and pizza, burger etc. Hardly any of them offered Kashmiri cuisine- when in Kashmir, eat Kashmiri food, right? At any rate our driver and guide would not have appreciated the kind of items on offer at Alpine, for instance. We eventually settled for a restaurant called Northwind or some such, which had Kashmiri food on offer- surprisingly, I did not photograph that. Gulmarg lies in a cup-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of, 2,650 mtr above sea level. It is located some 56 km from Srinagar.
