| 説明 | Built in 1936-1937, this Art Deco and Stripped Classical Revival-style building was designed by Allied Architects of Oklahoma City to serve as the municipal building, or City Hall, of Oklahoma City, and utilized funds from the New Deal-era Public Works Administration (PWA) in its construction. The four-story building features a limestone exterior with replacement windows, doric pilasters and decorative metal screens at the central bays, a hipped roof, Art Deco lampposts flanking the steps at the main entrances, decorative Art Deco reliefs, and is surrounded by a grassy lawn, trees, and fountains. The building today remains the seat of the municipal government of Oklahoma City, with an annex building nearby housing the offices of some city departments. |
