説明 | Australia has asserted that it "owns" part of Antarctica, an idea rejected by many countries. They call this area the "Australian Antarctic Territory". These 27 cent postage stamps (= Scott Catalogue # L55) were issued on 6 April 1983. They depict a light-mantled sooty albatross, Macquarie Island shags (= cormorants), elephant seals, royal penguins, and Antarctic prions (= petrels). |
