| 説明 | The Durward Street shaft, which houses the Elizabeth line escalators, emergency escape and ventilation, is clad in concrete panels which include extruded dots which form the pattern of a bell ringing method referencing the Whitechapel Bell Factory, an important part of this area’s culture. The method represented is ‘Whitechapel Road Surprise Major’ which was rung for the first time, in full, at Christ Church Spitalfields on 24 May 2022 for the launch of the Elizabeth line. |
