| 説明 | While I was near New Street Station on Stephenson Street / Navigation Street, I noticed that The Shakespeare pub on Lower Temple Street has been redecorated since the last time I took photos of it (at the end of October 2010 - when it looked yellow). Now it looks black (as of late January 2011). They even changed the pub sign. Might now be owned by Nicholson's.It is a Mitchells & Butlers pub, and it is a Smoke-Free pub.The building dates back to 1911.Ground floor of the pub.Lower Temple StreetOn the west the Neo-Georgian Shakespeare pub by Arthur Edwards of 1911. The successor to the Pit Bar of the Theatre Royal, hence the name.
