| 説明 | This is the "Davey Crockett" nuclear device. It may look like a joke but it was real.It remains one of the smallest nuclear weapon systems ever built, with a yield of 20 tonnes of TNT and was 11 inches in diameter.It was conceived as a tactical nuclear weapon. Some 2,100 were made and were deployed with US Army forces from 1961 to 1971.It weighed 76 pounds (34 kg) and could be fired from a special gun.Of course it was never used in anger but there is a video of a test here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLEAuapfwHc |
