From the Visitor Centre one can walk on elevated walkways above the wetlands and you can climb the 11 metre high bird watch and lookout. Along the pathway to the regional gallery and library is machinery telling the story of the sugar industry. The wetlands are home to a great variety of birds and expect to see wallabies, tortoises etc. The regional art gallery showcases the work of north Queensland artists with changing exhibitions. |
