| 説明 | I’m having so much fun with our little office studio with the strobes. Now whenever I need a photograph of something, it just takes me a minute to set up the subject (gun, accessory, whatever) and get a really good result.Keep I mind these shotguns and rifles I’ve been photographing lately are black. It’s tricky to light black objects well and get the contrast right, especially against a white background. In the past the shadows would take over and there would be no detail on the rifle or shotgun. But with these strobes set up like this you can see every detail. And because they don’t move between uses, it only take a few minutes to get a great shot.In this case I needed a photo of a shotgun with LPA ghost ring sights, so I pulled out my old Police Remington 870, the same shotgun that appears in this image. The LPA sights were installed by Vang Comp some 20 years ago. Since then the stock has been replaced with our Gen II LEO adapter and the walnut forend is now our new Truckee forend. The four-shell carrier behind the ejection port in the original photo disappeared at some point over the years, though you can see the marks it left behind in the Parkerizing; while the magazine clamp has been removed as well.These photos are set up with the grip or end of the buttstock placed on the table, and the barrel suspended from the ceiling with fishing line, which is invisible against the white background. The fishing line can be seen where it loops around the barrel, however, and that is eliminated in a minute or two using the Photoshop cloning tool. In this image, the fishing line was looped around the barrel just in front of the sling plate, which you can see if you look carefully enough, but which is quite invisible if you don't know where to look.I experimented with extended depth of field here by moving the camera back about 15 or 20 feet from the shotgun and using the zoom lens. It worked pretty well, with just a little fuzziness around the muzzle. |
