| 説明 | Overhead crane of the former Schauffele quarry at the Travertinpark in Stuttgart, Germany.For around 100 years, from the early 20th to early 21st century, travertine was quarried by different companies between the districts of Bad Cannstatt and Münster. Schauffele began operations in 1922 and pioneered the production of composite tiles and slabs for stairs and facades in the 1970s. The site fell into disuse after the companies closure in 1997 and was subsequently converted as part of the Travertinpark. While the quarry itself was filled in and the buildings demolished, the overhead crane and some machinery were preserved. |
