説明 | Cinnamon West Geyser is a moderately small, subcircular-shaped geyser on the southwestern margin of Cinnamon Spouter in the Black Sand Basin of Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin. It manifested subsequent to Cinnamon Spouter's first appearance in the late 1980s. Cinnamon West Geyser was initially a fracture but has since widened into its present shape. Its normal behavior is low to very low perpetual spouting. It also has occasional 1 to 2 meter tall geyser eruptions that occur in series, with hours- to days-long intervals between series. Eruptions pour out large volumes of water for such a small feature. Water drains toward the south and percolates downward into the siliceous sinter gravel. Eruptions by Cinnamon West Geyser result in water level lowering and reduced activity in adjacent Cinnamon Spouter. |
