| 説明 | Founded in 1899, Mount Rainier National Park was established to protect Tacoma, also known as Mount Rainier, a 14,410 foot (4,390 meter) tall stratovolcano in the state of Washington. The glacier-covered mountain peak is the highest point in the Cascade Range of the Northwestern United States, and is surrounded by grassy flower-filled subalpine meadows, rugged rocky ridges, and verdant forests. The park features multiple visitor areas, with Rustic-style buildings serving as ranger stations, park facilities, and visitor centers. The park was designated a National Historic Landmark District in 1997, and today is a heavily visited park, with multiple hiking trails and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. |
