| 説明 | On June 14/15, 1910, heavy rain caused flooding in 21 cantons of Switzerland. Steckborn is located directly on the Lower Lake Constance. This is the view of the Seestrasse looking west. At the top right, people look out of the window while the woman with the child poses for the photographer on the jetty. The Thur river flooded and the Mittelthurgau railway, which was under construction, ran also into problems. The opening of the railway in 1911 was in question. In Graubünden, the northeast of the canton was affected. The Prättigau region was hit hardest. On June 17, 1910, the Rhaetian Railway announced that the Landquart-Küblis line was closed until further notice. The photographer is unknown.
