| 説明 | A really good day out with Elaine & Andy Hyleman at the new Broadcast Engineering Museum at Hemswell Cliff in Lincolnshire. Housed in the former Sergeants' Mess of RAF Hemswell, itself built in 1936 by the Air Ministry, this fabulous collection includes cameras, recorders, mixers, transmitters, amplifiers and the stars of the show - three complete vintage OB units. In fact they have another one (ex-Yorkshire TV) which is too high to get into their garage! It's only open (currently) twice a year, but they have big plans for the future as more of the building is restored from the derelict state it was in when they bought it. Well worth a visit! |
