| 説明 | Sevelamer is a resin that acts as a phosphate binder. It is used to treat chronic renal failure. Sevelamer helps prevent hypocalcemia caused by elevated phosphorus. It typically has a yellow-orange color and parallel reddish lines that are often referred to as “fish scales”. Mucosal injury may occur in some patients. In this case the Sevelamer was found outside of a ruptured colonic diverticulum accompanied by a floried giant cell reactionOther plant resins may exhibit a very similar appearance to Sevelamer.
