説明 | Mysterious intramembranous placental objects. They appear to be plastic and 3-4mm in their largest dimension. There were 27 of them. We do not know what they are or the mechanism by which they arrived here. Perhaps a good medical history can reveal its origin. They bear some resemblance to pre-production plastic pellets (nurdles), which are small plastic pellets (less than 5 mm or 0.20 inches) used in the plastics industry for the manufacture of other plastic products. They also have some resemblance to plastic clips, although we have not seen any like them. It was also suggested that these might be clips from intrauterine surgeryor fragments from intravaginal rings.Image contributed by Dr. Leon Metlay - @leon_metlay - provided by Alice Levin, MS, PA(ASCP)cm |
