Friday.An enthusiastic welcome was accorded men of the A.I.F. who arrived here to-day on their march from Ingleburn to Bathurst. The town was gaily decorated and there was a large gathering of visitors. A short distance from the town each man was presented with a sprig of wattle, which was stuck in the band of his hat. The 2/17 Infantry Battalion to-day was theoretically attacked by aircraft near the Nepean river, but machine guns mounted on motor trucks "attacked" the planes, while troops took cover. Finally the troops crossed the stream and continued the march. They are due at Hazelbrook to-morrow.
