| 説明 | I am in the shopping mall in one of the towers of Singapore's Marina Bay Sands. It was pleasant enough, and the aircon was very welcoming. However, having spent about three decades in Dubai, where there is really very little else than large, glitzy shopping malls, sadly Marina Bay Sands did not particularly set the world on fire for me. Still, I have crossed it off my ‘to visit’ list. At any rate, this entire complex was under construction on my last visit to Singapore back in 2009, so it was nice to see what all that construction has shaped up as. There are boat rides inside the Marina Bay Sands mall as you can see here. I have heard of boat rides inside shopping malls in Macau and in Malaysia, but this was the first time I am actually seeing one in the flesh. For me personally, I prefer to walk around shopping malls, in the rare occasion that I visit one, so no boat ride for me, thank you very much. I thought these were electric boats, Note the eyes painted on the boat bridge on a green background- typical of almost all boats you will see in Vietnam. (Singapore, Sept. 2023) |
