| 説明 | Ah, these 'fine city' t-shirts are not very common any more! Singapore is an incredibly clean and litter free cities. This is one of the few countries where there are a number of incredibly strict rules and regulations are are in place to maintain the high standards the city is known for. From chewing gum to failing to flush public toilets, a number of things are seen as offences, and the fines are hefty, to put it mildly. There was a time when these Singapore is a Fine CIty t-shirts were fairly common- the local authorities apparently- and understandably- frown upon them, so they can now be spotted only in back alleys and in the odd market stall right in the middle of a large cluster of stalls. I've seen only white t-shirts so far, this is one of the few black ones I am seeing. I haven't found anyone wearing any of these 'fine city' t-shirts either, on my 2002, 2009 and on this current 2024 visit, so it's probably an offence to wear them in Singapore either.
