説明 | The old Grand Junction Railway dock in Belleville, Ontario, as it appeared in 1911. Maurice Callaghan has identified the photographer as Charles Mott, engineer, and the man in the image as City Engineer William Lindsey. A wooden structure in the foreground is identified as "The scow Hatty Ann [Hattie Ann]", while the rudder post and centreboard box of the Wilfred Plunkett are on the other side of the dock. According to a 'Schooner Days' article of 1947, the Wilfred (or Wilfrid) Plunkett burned at Belleville in 1907 or 1908.One of a series of reproduction photographs donated by Don Kellaway in December 2019.The original image was donated by Don Kellaway's son in June 2025 (file 2025-055/1/8). |
