| 説明 | Built in the 1500s, these windmills were constructed to mill flour during the Venetian period, and remain well-preserved today. The windmills are cylindrical structures clad in limewash with thatch roofs, and feature wooden and fabric blades, with six windmills standing on a hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean above Little Venice. Today, the windmills are preserved as a picturesque historical site and tourist draw in the Chora, or main town. |
