説明 | In the north aisle in front of the entrance to the family chantry chapel www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/N99H146d61 is a well worn ledger stone covering the bodies of John Copleston of Coplstone House who died 21st October 1458 & his wife Elizabeth who died on 18th October the year before . " Hic jacet Joh(ann)es Cop...; north side (right): Armig(er) qui...(obiit...) (MD)CCCC(LVII); south side (left): an(n)o d(o)m(ino)...(MD)CCCCXLVII."The north chapel was built as a chantry by their sons Philip & Walter c 1460 . They most probably were executors of their father’s will and did this at his posthumous request.
