| 説明 | Built in 1852, this Classical Revival-style structure was constructed during the Ottoman period to serve as a clock tower for the center of the medieval Old Town of Rhodes. The building is clad in stone with doric columns at the first floor, doric pilasters at the corner of the second and third floors, casement windows, four clock faces, and a pyramidal hipped roof with a cupola and weathervane. The structure today is a major landmark in the Old Town of Rhodes, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. |
