| 説明 | Built in the 1500s, this Byzantine-style church only served as a church for a short period before the Ottoman takeover of Rhodes in 1522, whereupon it ceased function as a church. The building features a stone exterior and interior, a barrel vaulted roof on the interior, a small Islamic-style altar inside, and very few windows. The building was restored in the early 20th Century to once again serve as a Greek Orthodox Church. The building is part of the Old Town of Rhodes, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. |
