| 説明 | Built in the 1400s, this Byzantine-style church was converted into a mosque after the takeover of Rhodes by the Ottoman Empire in 1522, with a minaret being added to the building. The building features a stone exterior, a gabled roof, roman arched bays, and the base of a minaret, which has been truncated, as well as a small courtyard at the entrance to the church. The building, since the early 20th Century, has served once again as a Greek Orthodox Church. The building is part of the Old Town of Rhodes, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. |
