| 説明 | Believed to have been built in the 1400s, this small Gothic Revival-style church was dedicated to Agia Marina, or Saint Marina, and served as a Greek Orthodox Church within the Old Town of Rhodes until the Ottoman Period, after which it served as a house between 1522 and the early 20th Century, and was eventually restored to use as a church after the end of Ottoman rule. The building features a stone exterior with a barrel vaulted roof, a small bell tower on the front facade, a gothic arched entrance door, and two roman arches on the side facade. The building today serves once again as a Greek Orthodox Church, and is part of the Old Town of Rhodes, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. |
