| 説明 | Semaphore Road Houses – No’s 92-102 The construction of the first jetty in 1859-60 meant that Jetty Road, later renamed Semaphore Road, was destined to become Semaphore’s main street, and it has remained so. The extension of South Australia’s first steam-powered railway, the Adelaide to Port Adelaide line, to the sea-end of the road in 1878 gave the road another boost. It was in the 1870s and 1880s that substantial homes started to appear along this portion of the road. These are some of the earliest surviving ones. |
