説明 | Australia. The Standard Vanguard was produced from 1947-63.The 1955-58 Phase III was replaced in 1958 by the Vanguard Vignale. Compared to the Phase III, the windscreen and rear window were larger, a revised horizontal bar grill and ‘Shepherds Hook’ style side trim. The last of the Vanguards was the 1960-63 Vanguard Six, with 1998cc 6 cylinder from the Triumph 2000. Externally the only differences from the Vignale were the badging but the interior was updated.Standard Cars were also built in Australia by the Standard Motor Company until 1958; then by Australian Motor Industries (AMI). The first Australian Vignales had a more pronounced bonnet badge and straight, but stepped side trim. In 1960, when the Six was introduced, side trim was the ‘Shepherds Hook’ style and spaced out VANGUARD letters on the bonnet. A Coupe Utility version was also available there.Engine; 2088cc 4 cyl, then 1988cc 6 cyl |
