説明 | I don’t usually collect Apollo documents, but this one is pretty cool and visually appealing. It comes from Buzz Aldrin and represents a historical moment in time during the Apollo 11 mission. This landmark tracking activity at 83 hours ground elapsed time on July 20 was performed by Mike Collins in the CM during lunar revolution #4. Both Neil and Buzz were stationed in the LM powering up various systems for initial checkout prior to the lunar descent that would occur in ~17 hours. At this moment in the timeline, the crew viewed the approach to the landing site for the first time.
