| 説明 | We were getting tossed about like a cork in the ocean!The previous shot:www.flickr.com/photos/nyalr/53429780613/in/dateposted-pub...gave us an idea of what was to come but it really didn't show us the whole picture!The ferry (and passengers) were getting tossed to and from, like a fishing bobber on a windy day. The rain started coming down in sheets and the wind howled as everyone tried to get either below or under the cover. Unfortunately some folks didn't quite make it and got thoroughly soaked!Niccy and I must be odd ducks because we thoroughly enjoyed riding the storm out. It really wasn't any worse than the hurricane we ran into off the coast of Martinique although that was on a much larger vessel that was definitely prepared for the storm.There was only one injury that we know of, some lady below decks took a tumble when she went to stand up and had to be hauled off in the ambulance, everyone else made it back in one piece!For a technical note I used the B/W setting on the camera, it seemed to be more in line with a nasty storm!PS:For those in the Show Your EXIF group you should note that the actual lens used is a Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II VC All-in-One Zoom for Canon APS-C Digital SLR. For some crazy reason it always shows up as a Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8, a lens I've never owned or used! |
