| 説明 | Built in 1923, these four Jacobethan Revival-style buildings were built for E. D. Latta to serve as commercial rental properties, with retail spaces on the ground floors and offices on the second floors. The buildings feature buff brick front facades with terra cotta trim, gabled parapets, decorative pilasters at the outer bays of the front facades, one-over-one double-hung windows on the second floors, decorative sculptural reliefs, cornices with dentils, and large bays on the first floors with plate glass windows flanking recessed doorways. The buildings are contributing structures in the Downtown Asheville Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and adjusted to its present size in 2011. Today, the buildings house various commercial tenants. |
