| 説明 | Built in 1948, this Modern International-style house was designed by Ronald Greene for Annie J. Reed (sometimes misspelled Annie Reid), daughter of W. W. Reed and Janet Reed, though it was only the house of Reed until 1949, when she moved to Florida, and the house was sold. The house is clad in stucco with low-profile clean-lined awnings, metal-frame casement windows, an enclosed front porch with large glass windows, a stone chimney, a wooden railing on the rooftop front terrace, corner windows, and a one-story detached rear garage. The house is one of many excellent examples of 20th Century residential architecture that can be found in Asheville’s Kenilworth neighborhood. |
