| 説明 | Built in 1895, this four-story former cotton mill was designed by W. B. Smith Whaley, and was originally known as the Richland Cotton Mill. The building features a red brick exterior with arched bays containing paired nine-over-nine double-hung windows with transoms, a low-pitch side-gable roof, simple brick pilasters flanking the window bays, a tall smokestack attached to a two-story rear wing, and a six-story tower with a pyramidal hipped roof, roman arched and circular bays with louvers, and brick corbeling at the center of the front facade. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and today, serves as an apartment complex, known as Yugo Columbia Lofts. |
