| 説明 | I'm not sure if it is a good idea to let wild animals completely lose their fear of man! A tram ride in Malawati village in Kuala Selangor up the hill to Bukit Malawati (Malawati Hill) is part of the Kuala Selangor fireflies tour. The first stop the tram makes up the hill to an area full of rather tame Silvered Leaf monkeys. (Silvery Lutungs). The fort and museum atop the hill were closed, so this stop is, apart from spending a few minutes looking at the sea and a couple of cannons at the spot, more of a racket to get tourists to feed the monkeys. While the animals areq quite used to human presence, especially with the feeding routine, and let us approach pretty close, some of the bolder monkeys actually climb atop the tourists and sit on their shoulder, like this one here. So that's why I said earlier, is it really such a good idea to let these semi-wild animals completely lose their fear of man? (Kuala Selangor, Malaysia, Sept. 2023) |
