| 説明 | A subsidiary shrine in one of the many tiny receptacles inside then Batu Caves near KL, Malaysia. Apart from the main Velayuthar Hindu temple in the main cave, and a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Murugan at a second level within the caves, there are several images of HIndu gods in the many receptacles dotted around the caves themselves. Although most folks pray at the main temples, these subsidiary shrines are all gated and protected, probably due to scores of selfie seekers disrespecting them or posing for selfies against them. This subsidiary shrine seems to be dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Also seen are images of the whistle-blower secondary god Narada (with his musical instrument) and the multi headed god of creation Brahma. (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sept. 2023) |
