| 説明 | A tram ride in Malawati village in Kuala Selangor up the hill to Bukit Malawati (Malawati Hill) is part of the Kuala Selangor fireflies tour. The first stop the tram makes up the hill to an area full of rather tame Silvered Leaf monkeys. (Silvery Lutungs). Here, with his mouth full, this curious Silvered Leaf Monkey looks up from his meal of snake beans, fed to him by one of the tourists- monkey feeding is a big racket on Bukit Malawati. I've seen these critters before, back in 2013 in Sandakan, east Malaysia- snake beans were what was fed to them too by tourists. Although the semi- wild Silver-Leafed Monkey are generally quite gentle and allow you to approach very close, they are wild animals after all, so it pays to be careful when feeding. Some of the bolder monkeys actually climb onto visitors and sit on their shoulder, head etc- (see previous pictures earlier in this album), I'm not sure if it's a good idea to allow that and to let these wild animals completely lose their fear of man. They can turn hostile which can be considered dangerous when immature or careless human visitors cross the line and provoke them beyond the tolerance limit of these simians.
