| 説明 | Taken on the 05/05/2016 at19:00:21Hrs using a Nikon D3100 camera with a Tamron 70-300mm Lens, from exit end of the Treffry Viaduct. Luxulyan Valley, just north of St Austell, is a natural woodland and a fascinating heritage site. Steeped in the remains of the area's mining heritage, the densely wooded valley stretches for 2 miles along the banks of the River Par from Luxulyan to St Blazey.At one end of the 100m deep valley emerges the magnificent Teffry viaduct, which crosses the river 100ft above the valley floor. Constructed from stone, this ten-arch, early Victorian era viaduct spans 670 feet and is free to be crossed on foot. Throughout the valley are the remains of the tram roads where carts loaded with mining materials once ran, as well as an abundance of rusted machinery and granite stone once used to harvest water power. The secluded valley is also a favourite with documentary crews such as Cornwall and Devon Walks with Julia Bradbury. |
