説明 | Memorial to Quintin Hogg, Portland Place, Marylebone, City of Westminster, London W1B (Grade II). 1906 sculptural group by George Frampton. A seated bronze figure with 2 boys, on Portland stone pedestal. The front of the plint reads "Quintin Hogg 1845-1903" and "Erected by the members of the Polytechnic to the memory of their founder". on the side shown here it says "1914-1918 Pro Patria --- To the members of the Polytechnic who made the supreme sacrifice 1939-1945", making it also a war memorial. The side you cannot see her is a memorial to Alice Hogg.GOC Hertfordshire's walk on 13 April 2019, an 8.3-mile point-to-point walk from St Pancras Station to Paddington Station via Somers Town, Fitzrovia, Marylebone, Mayfair, Hyde Park, Marble Arch and Paddington, which was attended by 37(!) people.
