| 説明 | Rising to an elevation of 5,721 feet (1,744 meters), Mount Pisgah is a prominent mountain near Asheville, North Carolina. The mountain was acquired by the Vanderbilt family in the late 19th Century, and was sold to the United States Federal Government in 1914-1916, creating the Pisgah National Forest, with Mount Pisgah being the tallest peak in the forest. The mountaintop, known as Pisgah Ledge, is home to a broadcast tower for local news station WLOS ABC News 13, and is accessible via a steep hiking trail from the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. |
