Bill Stayner and Debbie Ballentine in Bill's truck, and two friends in the other truck. THE TRIPWe traveled from Loon Lake Rubicon Trail Head to Rubicon Springs and back, spending a total of three nights and three days. When we arrived late at night, we first camped on the granite slob near the Loon Lake trail head. Then we stayed at Buck Island Lake for two nights. The second day we did a day trip from Buck Island Lake to Rubicon Springs and back. On our last day on our way back to the Loon Lake Trail Head we learned there was someone who needed welding on the Wentworth Trail. We took a diversion to help. During the trip, Bill helped three people on the trail. Two by welding parts and one was a battery swap.BILL STAYNER'S HOME BUILT ROCK CRAWLER TRUCK:- Volvo powered Toyota pickup- Tacoma transmission- Dual cases- One tons - 42 inch tiresFRIEND'S TRUCK:- Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40- Aluminum tub- Vortec V8- 40 inch tires
