| 説明 | Built in 1894, this Colonial Revival-style townhouse was designed by Beers, Clay and Dutton for William Henry Reid III, a businessman, replacing a previous house owned and occupied by Reid on the same site. The house is clad in buff brick with terra cotta trim, a Palladian window on the third floor, two oxeye windows flanking a tripartite window on the second floor, a front portico with ionic columns and fluted ionic pilasters, decorative cornices with dentils and modillions, an architrave at the top of the front facade with festoons, a stone base, one-over-one, four-over-four, and twelve-over-one double-hung windows, decorative Classical motifs, and a front door with a fanlight transom, engaged fluted ionic columns at the jambs, and sidelights. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003, and presently serves as a private residence. |
